Duncan Print Group buys BPMG out of administration

BPMG, the Buckinghamshire-based printer, has been bought out of administration by Duncan Print Group.

Administrators Geoffrey Rowley and Simon Elliott of Vantis were appointed to the company on 7 August, according to records filed at Companies House.

News of the printer's acquisition came via a leaked letter from BPMG, in which the company confirmed the business had been bought by the Duncan Print Group and that it will continue to operate under the BPMG name.

The company's administration has been bemoaned by Jag Packaging, a creditor to BMPG, which confirmed it had been left with £21,000 in unpaid bills for die-cutting and creasing work.

Jag Packaging owner John Grant said the administration had hit the company hard: "We received a small payment in June but none since then. Duncan Print Group told us they've bought the BPMG name, but none of the debts. It's us who lose out."

Duncan Print Group, which held the 245th spot in the PrintWeek Top 500 in 2007, declined to comment on the matter.
