Sappi releases offset troubleshooting guide
Sappi has updated its technical guide, Mottling - Mottled impression, which covers problems in offset printing where the printed image becomes marbled, speckled or blotchy.
The 20pp practical guide describes the different types of mottling and how printers can remedy them. Testing by Sappi, Heidelberg, Flint and BASF has found that the causes of mottling depend on the choice or quality of the paper or ink.
